The film was made in such a way that audiences worldwide could easily comprehend the message conveyed in the drama by Słowacki. The film is a contemporary version of the drama as we find ourselves in the present day rather than set in the distant past. For this reason the drama is much more easily assimilated, though the story itself has not been altered.
Słowacki was not only an outstanding poet with a lute and a pen –according to the traditional image of him. He was also an excellent business manager. He even invested in shares of French railway; the profits together with an extraordinary talent allowed his extravagancy in such creative freedom.
